They also determined that the Ceenr pack can NOT be charged using DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita, etc. chargers with an adapter plate.
Turns out, the yellow tab on the Makita adapter doesn’t actually do anything. 😑
this need to be a law obigation, like USB standar for charge smart phones. all brands need to be complain
Good in theory, carp in execution. They charge really slowly, about 1/3 of the speed of existing batteries; the rails that hold the battery “bricks” onto the adaptor are really small so potentially weak; they lack any means to communicate with the charger, so intelligent charging can’t happen (equals shorter life); they are made of cheaper, more brittle plastic which makes them fragile if dropped; cut out if subjected to high energy draw (tried one on Makita DHS680 165mm saw, Makita DKP181 planer and Makita DHP481 drill with 38mm spade bit – died on all three when a 6 year old Mak 3Ah battery ran all three); and 4Ah max? Come on now, even Makita got to 6Ah 4 years ago. Maybe OK for a DIYer with low expectations – useless for anyone who uses tools doing any amount of serious work
Dec. 16 2025, how are they holding up? How are the tools holding up? ANYONE?
7:07 technically a forstner bit. Augers are different. They look more like a post hole digger
