  1. It might be interesting to review this in 2026 to see if anything has changed. I’d guess the basic tool selection may be pretty much the same, but pricing might be different now.

  2. Ah, this is *actually* suitable for beginners! Like many of your videos. And also a good reminder for the more experienced ones.

Dad gave me maybe half of these when I moved out, and I didn’t even have a house, I obviously just had an apartment. 6 years later I renovated my next apartment and had the rest of these, and some others of course. Now I’m trying to think if even dad had any other power tools back then than a drill… These days he has more, but he has also made some construction stuff on our summer cabin on his retirement. I think he’d nod a lot watching your videos.

Regarding tape measures, I like having 2. Or actually, when living in an apartment, a 3m measure was enough. It’s the one that gets carried along when going shopping for your home, it’s small enough to have in my handbag or even pocket. Also before even moving in and measuring the place and planning where you want your furniture. 5m is definitely a good length when you buy a house – but that 3m is still then the one in my handbag.

  3. I bought a screwdriver that holds bits and has a variety of them stored in the handle. So to me that’s a similar concept as the adjustable spanner.
