  1. Nice video. It’s crazy how much prices have gone up since this video was made. Craftsman and Pittsburgh are the only ones in the 200 range now. Still I think the Tekton Sets are reasonable. For sets that don’t have skips you can’t go wrong.

  2. this gearwrench set is now over 300 dollars… like 320 i think it was, looked it up earlier today…

    Obidenomics ladies an gentleman

  3. I Got My 232 Peice Gear wrench Set At A Pawnshop For $175.00 I Also
Got My 270 Peice Husky Set At Home Depot For $99.99 The
    Retake Price Was Realy $199.99

  4. For the giveaways Have you considered in doing just sections like just the deep 3/8 metric or shallow 3/8 SAE ?
That way more subscribers may be rewarded with goodies.
Or even ask if the subscribers are interested in scavenging any of the parts of the kit.

  5. Agreed, you may find tools that you can put more torque on or tool that are shiny. You may have snapons, but if I ask for an 11mm and you snapons set skipps it than your just stuck. Get a complete set.

  6. My 1/2 inch ratchet in the pitsburg set stopped working after less than a year of use. Aside feom that, great set.

  7. I was sold on the craftsman set until i clicked on the link. Who would’ve thought a year later its 320 plus tax .

  8. June 2023 pricing

    Pittsburgh $219
    Gearwrench $319
    Craftsman $319
    Tekton 1/4 $90
    Tekton 3/8 $180

    Tekton 212 piece
1/4, 3/8, 1/2 $475 (very nice set worth saving for)

  9. The bit driver, of all things, failed on my Pittsburgh set. The shaft turns inside the handle for anything that needs some torque. Unacceptable. Of course, Harbor Freight’s warranty requires the receipt which was lost in a tornado last year. Their warranty sucks.

  10. Ended up going with the Quinn 428pc Master Technician tool set myself. Really wish it had trays like that Craftsman though.

  11. Tekton is great (I do own Tekton) …. but if you want something similar but at a lower cost then you can try the SATA sets: 1/4” 43pieces $48, 3/8” 53p $62, 1/2”56p $125 – they are owned and made by Apex tools just like Gearwrench and Crescent …

  12. i have the gw 232. I like it, but shaking up that case without those flaps on the front that hold the "droors" in coming open is rare. yeah it will all stay in if those flaps don’t pop open. I’ve had it in my van for about 3 or 4 months and ive had to find and pick up half the set about 3x. also the 3/8 ratchet is kind of small. its nice but the comfort grip handle has a ball on the end just popped off when i used a cheater 1 time. overall i do like it

  13. What pisses me off is the huge amount of bits and Allen keys. Just make a kit with ratchets, sockets, wrenches, extensions and adapters. That’s it, I don’t care how many bits are in it, just sell people what they want,…. a serious mechanic set.

  14. I had a set like the Gearwrench, it was a kobalt set, i loved it till the box broke and it has been a nightmare since.

Because of the case im leaning towards the Pittsburgh just in hopes of avoiding the same issue in the future

  15. FYI: As of right now, the Craftsman and Gearwrench sets linked to in the description are both going for $320 but the Pittsburgh is still $200 (and at an upcoming HF parking lot sale going for $170).

  16. Those Flexhead Ratchits Are Nice Too. I Have 2 Sets Of Husky Flexhead
    Ratchiting Wrenches. The Thing
Wrenches Is If You’r In Close
Quarters Trying To Loosen Or Tighten
A Nut Or Bolt You Don’t Have To
Be Turn The Bolt Or Nut & Take The
Wrench Off & Putting It On.
    I Also Whent On Amazon
    & Ordered A 20 Peice Craftsman
Wrench Set. & I Whent To Lowes
& Got Me A 7 Peice Craftsman Ratchiting Wrench Set.

  17. Shake test is very valid when when you pick up the box to move it sometimes it’s not that easy to move and it shakes aeound

  18. JobSmart Tool Set, 324 pc. this is a okay set for the money i have had no problems with the sockets but the wrenches are not that good.

  19. I think it would be better if you review directly the precision of the teeth directly on the bolts and the level of ability to withstand pressure using hydraulics.

    I am from indonesia.

  20. The Thing I Like With Husky
    Ratchits Is The Push Release
Button On The Back. The Thing
I Like With Husky & Gear Wrench
Is If I Wh’er To Break One Of
Them I Can Get A Replacement
    At The Home Depot.

  21. i apreciate the reviews, most tool boxes do not are not specific on what sizes they have on their advertizing , and none show what sizes they skip, your reviews are very informative, ive been looking around for a good replacement box since i need wrenches and larger sockets for auto and motorcycle projects , the pittsburg 301 looks to be the best set for the job
